Cloud-based aircraft maintenance tracking, compliance, and inventory management services provider Flightdocs opened a 6,200-sq-ft technology center today in Bonita Springs, Florida. The facility houses nearly 40 developers and other technology experts, the company said.
According to CEO Rick Heine, the new center allows FlightDocs to develop secure, custom solutions in a rapid-response environment. “Businesses that are specialized need specialized tools,” he said. “By investing in this center, we are ensuring that customers will get exactly the right products to meet the needs of their operations with no concerns that data or service will ever be lost or interrupted.”
He added that the center’s Southwest Florida location will tap into the area’s “abundant” technology resources and talent. “The local universities have information technology and engineering programs where we recruit students for our intern-development program,” Heine said. “This allows us to cultivate our own talent by having interns expand their skills under the direction of our software engineers…[which] allows Flightdocs to advance its technological mission in the U.S.”
