Maintenance, repair and overhaul provider Constant Aviation has agreed to acquire Florida-based MRO and FBO StarPort. The acquisition will provide Constant Aviation with its first paint operation. The deal, announced January 11, is expected to close during the first quarter. The company also plans to add a paint facility at its headquarters in Cleveland, Ohio.

According to Stephen Maiden, president and CEO of Constant Aviation, Constant's wider goal is to have MRO facilities across key regions in the U.S. Maiden sees StarPort's Sanford, Florida facility as an opportunity to expand the MRO’s network.

“After a great deal of thoughtful consideration as to who we would ultimately turn stewardship of StarPort over to, we chose Constant Aviation,” said Jacqueline Cambata, president of StarPort. “Constant Aviation maintains a family-centered culture, built on passion, dedication and values. These principles, combined with the drive to deliver an unparalleled customer service experience, made this agreement the right decision for the future of StarPort.”
