ACJ320 Gets First Aircraft VoIP Installation

Airbus Corporate Jet Centre (ACJC) announced that it has done the first installation of voice over IP (VoIP) technology on an aircraft, performed as a retrofit on an ACJ320 during an upgrade and heavy maintenance check. The VoIP installation allows making and receiving calls over the Internet, and the retrofit included upgrading to an Airbus SwiftBroadband solution, which also required replacing the aircraft’s top skin fuselage panel.

ACJC partnered with Airbus Corporate Jets (Booth 2234) on the project. Joel Frugier, ACJC general manager, called the partnership “the most optimized solution for demanding private individuals and governments that want high-end technologies and peace of mind maintenance services to Airbus standards.”
