John Wade, who steered the rapid expansion of Gogo’s business aviation division over the past eight years, was promoted to executive vice president and COO for Gogo. Wade brings 30 years of aviation experience to his new role, including as chief technology officer for OnAir. He also has served with Tenzing and GEC Marconi.
In his new role at Gogo, Wade will be responsible for the company’s operations, quality control, commercial airline account management and commercial sales. He will retain oversight of business aviation, but Gogo also promoted Sergio Aguirre to serve as senior v-p and general manager of this division.
Aguirre has 27 years of industry experience, beginning as a customer account manager with Gulfstream Aerospace and later serving with Airshow and Securaplane. He joined Gogo in 2007.
