Bombardier Business Aircraft’s Wichita Service Center has been named an authorized service center for the Rolls-Royce BR710 engine. The designation allows Bombardier to perform maintenance on the BR710 turbofans installed on the Bombardier Global Express/XRS, Global 5000 and Global 6000. It also means all of Bombardier Business Aircraft Service Centers are now Rolls-Royce authorized and can provide direct access to Rolls-Royce technical service representatives, as well as Rolls-Royce's myaeroengine.com portal for support and technical troubleshooting.
The Wichita facility has a staff of approximately 250 technical and support personnel. The MRO is equipped to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, as well as interior modifications, avionics installations and provide AOG support for Learjets, Challengers and Globals. In April, the facility added 38,000 sq ft of hangar space, bringing its total area to 113,000 sq ft. The Wichita facility is certified by the FAA, Transport Canada and EASA, as well as by authorities in Bermuda, Mexico and Venezuela. In addition to Rolls-Royce, it holds authorizations from General Electric, Honeywell and Rockwell Collins.
