Jet Aviation Geneva received EASA STC approval for the installation of a Honeywell Ovation Select cabin management system on a Global Express. The company delivered the 14-year-old aircraft to the customer after removing an obsolete setup and replacing it with the Honeywell system.
According to Jet Aviation, the project called for a complete redesign of the cabin system features, including audio/video, JetMap HD, Wi-Fi, water, lights and air conditioning. Ovation Select allows the user to manage the systems with several touchscreen units integrated into the side ledges, seats and galleys for easy access by crew and passengers. The controls are also accessible through five Apple iPads placed in dedicated sockets designed for that particular aircraft.
