Bombardier Marks Singapore Service Center's Anniversary

Bombardier Business Aircraft's Singapore service center has provided maintenance support for more than 150 aircraft, received nine certifications and has implemented dedicated unplanned maintenance teams for the region in the year since its official opening in February 2014. "We are thrilled with the Singapore service center's performance since its inauguration," said Stan Younger, vice president of aircraft service centers. "As the center continues to expand its service capabilities and maintenance capacity, we expect more certifications this year." Of the 70 employees currently on staff, 45 are engineers and technicians, a number that is slated to climb to 60 by year-end.

The service center has received certifications from the EASA and the civil aviation authorities of Singapore, Cayman Islands, Bermuda, Philippines, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Taiwan and the Isle of Man. Additional certifications from the FAA, Australia, China and India are in the works and anticipated to be added by year-end.

The facility, which consists of 32,000 sq ft.of hangar space, 38,000 sq ft of dedicated ramp and 38,000 sq ft of workshop, is equipped to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, as well as modifications, avionics installations and AOG support for the Bombardier Learjet, Challenger and Global. The service cent also features a Flying Colours interior shop that can support Bombardier business aircraft customers across the region for all of their warranty, repair, line service and refurbishment needs.
