Advanced Helicopter Services Signs Turbomeca Deal

 - March 3, 2015, 2:25 PM

California-based rotorcraft MRO provider Advanced Helicopter Services announced it has reached an agreement with Turbomeca Mexico to support that country, Central America and the northern region of South America with Level I, II and III turbine engine maintenance services, making it the engine maker’s only such authorized service center for the area. In anticipation of the announcement, the company expanded its facility at the Watts-Woodland Airport, northwest of Sacramento, to accommodate service and support for the new zone of coverage. Last month, AHS also opened a satellite facility at Provo (Utah) Municipal Airport, which will provide regional service. Both locations are authorized service centers for AgustaWestland, Robinson, Enstrom and Airbus helicopters, as well as FAA Part 145 repair stations.

For the first time since last year’s acquisition of fellow MRO provider Cascade Helicopter Services at Seattle Boeing Field, AHS is displaying the services of both companies here at Heli-Expo. “We’ve almost totally integrated Cascade Helicopter Services under AHS and the additional capabilities have been well received by our customers,” said company president Sparrow Tang. “Both companies have benefitted from one another and more importantly, we have broadened the support to our helicopter owners and operators.”
