The International Communications Group (ICG) of Newport News, Va., added the Dassault Falcon 900B to a growing list of business jets that have installed its Future Air Navigation System (Fans-1/A) technology. Duncan Aviation of Lincoln, Neb., has received STC approval for the ICG Fans-1/A solution for the trijet.
"Our NxtLink Series ICS-120A and ICS-220A systems are versatile, easy to install, draw much less power and are significantly lighter than previous satcom systems. Customers get more ‘bang for the buck,’ and better coverage for a fraction of the cost of an Inmarsat-based system," said Tim Rayl, ICG’s senior vice president of sales and marketing.
This marks the third STC in the business aviation market segment for Fans-1/A over Iridium using ICG’s NxtLink transceivers. Several more are currently in process, the company said.
