Frankfurt, Germany-based Haitec Aircraft Maintenance will be expanding its maintenance, repair and overhaul facility this year. The MRO provides line and base maintenance for Boeing, Airbus and Gulfstream GV-SP customers at its facilities at Frankfurt Hahn and Erfurt Airports.
Building upon the MRO’s A320 passenger to freighter conversion that commenced last fall and is expected to result in 12 conversions a year, the company plans to offer a wider span of commercial and VIP MRO services to its existing and new customers at various locations in Germany. It is in the intial planning phase of construction of a second 129,000-sq-ft hangar in Frankfurt to support the A380. Construction will begin in April, and the company expects it to be operational in mid-2016.
Haitec is an EASA Part 145 company with certifications from Russia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Bermuda and Azerbaijan.
