Another prototype of the Composite Helicopters International KC-518 has been involved in an accident. The all-carbon-fiber machine rolled over after a hard landing during flight-test on November 8 in Rodney, Auckland, New Zealand. The test pilots aboard received minor injuries. They reported severe low-frequency vibration before making an emergency landing during which the helicopter pitched up and rolled on its side. The first prototype ditched in Auckland Harbor in May last year.
