Ryan International, the Columbus, Ohio manufacturer of traffic-collision awareness devices, has introduced a 3-ATI hazard MFD that is capable of providing traffic, terrain and weather information on a single color LCD. The company’s Multi-Hazard Display is designed for use with the Ryan 990BX traffic advisory system. “The industry is moving toward putting all information on a single screen,” said Bruce Bunevich, vice president of sales and marketing. “While that’s a lot better than having to scan lots of dials and gauges, it can be difficult to isolate the most immediate hazard information in critical situations.” The Multi-Hazard Display, he said, places essential hazard information on a dedicated display, offering pilots what they need–easy-to-read, easy-to-interpret information about the most urgent flight hazard. Ryan is working with other avionics makers to display their weather and terrain information on the display
