Dassault Flamant MD 311 Flies at the Paris Air Show

The Dassault Flamant is a twin engine transport aircraft developed by Dassault Aviation, first flown in 1947. The MD 311 variant is meant to be used as a navigation and bombing trainer, and is distinguished by its glazed nose. These aircraft saw action during the Algerian War of Independence in a light attack role with antitank missiles, machine guns, bombs, and rockets. The French Air Force flew the Flamant until 1983.
