Amid Bizav Surge Fractional HondaJet Operator Volato Takes Off

For fractional HondaJet operator Volato, starting operations during a pandemic proved a boost rather than a hindrance. The company, which has six of the light jets in its fleet, launched last year and, according to CEO Matt Liotta, it was able to ride the crest of a wave of record-breaking private aviation usage. Volato analyzed the market and determined its niche would be private jet missions with four or fewer passengers. For those missions a larger jet would simply not be as cost effective, which led the company to decide on the four-seat configuration of the HondaJet Elite.
