Airbus's A350 XWB Soars at the 2022 Farnborough Airshow

Airbus's A350-900 airliner has been impressing the crowds at the 2022 Farnborough International Airshow. It is the first Airbus aircraft to feature carbon-fiber-reinforced polymer fuselage and wing structures. The aircraft is powered by the Rolls Royce Trent XWB engines, which were developed specifically for this aircraft. Airbus recently launched a freighter version of the aircraft, hoping to win a share of the all-cargo widebody market long dominated by its U.S. rival, Boeing. The A350F will be a derivative of the larger A350-1000.
