At its recent Q1 board meeting, the South Florida Business Aviation Association (SFBAA) elected long-time board member Scott Ramsden as president. He will succeed his brother, Jeff, who has held that position for 15 years.
During the meeting, it was announced that the organization had raised nearly $35,000 during its 2021 charity golf tournament at the PGA National Resort & Spa in Palm Beach Gardens. One of the largest such charity events in the business aviation industry, it attracted more than 200 registered golfers playing across two courses.
Since its first event in 2003, the SFBAA has raised more than $400,000 in charity donations. Nearly 40 businesses sponsored last year’s event, which directly contributed to multiple industry scholarship programs as well as the Make-A-Wish Foundation and Angel Flight Southeast.
