Conscious of the need to “go more green," the organizer of The Central European Business Aviation Conference has decided to make the next holding of the conference, which will be its tenth, a virtual affair. The Central European Private Aviation Association (CEPA) event will take place November 7 to 9, 2019, and will be live-streamed from Prague, Austria. “It will allow international attendees to participate and see and hear from others from their own devices, wherever they are located, in the comfort of their office or home,” said CEPA.
“It’s time to make a break from traveling, maximize the incredible technology we have, and be innovative,” said CEPA founder Dagmar Grossmann, who also acknowledged the pressure on time and travel budgets, along with the increasingly difficulty of managing a number of shows and events.
She claimed the “spirit of getting together won’t be lost” with the virtual event, while adding that the conference’s headline themes would include environmental issues, sustainable fuels, and attracting new aviation talent. The second day of the conference will feature live panels, which will include a discussion on the future outlook for business aviation. Grossmann added that the decision to “go virtual” followed a considerable amount of consultation with stakeholders.
