Airbus Corporate Jets (Booth 2614, Static SD51) is gearing up to begin deliveries of its new “neo” (new engine option) family of narrowbody ACJs, starting with the ACJ320neo in December and the ACJ319neo in the second quarter of 2019. More efficient engines and wingtip “sharklets” enable significant rate of climb, range and payload improvements for both aircraft—the ACJ320neo can transport 25 passengers 6,000 nm while the ACJ319 neo can fly eight passengers 6,750 nm—while at the same time cutting specific fuel consumption, emissions, and noise.

Announced customers for the new aircraft include Acropolis Aviation, Comlux, and K5 Aviation. More than 190 ACJs have been delivered to date and the fleet spans both the company’s wide- and narrowbody offerings, including the ACJ330 and ACJ350 XWB twin-aisle twinjets. Total orders for Airbus’s A320 series in all configurations now stand at 14,318 with 8,419 delivered and a net backlog of 5,899. The airliner-sized cabins of the ACJs promote “more productive and sociable lifestyles in the sky than traditional business jets,” said ACJ president Benoit Defforge.

This week at NBAA 2018, Airbus Corporate Jets is displaying K5 Aviation’s ACJ319 at NBAA 2018. K5 makes the aircraft available for VVIP charter.
