Rectrix Aviation this week starts its annual summer flights connecting Hyannis and Nantucket with New York’s La Guardia Airport and Worcester Regional Airport in Massachusetts. The scheduled flights operate on Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays using nine-passenger Beech Super King Air B300 turboprops crewed by two pilots.
The Rectrix shuttle flies from the Sheltair FBO at La Guardia Airport to the Rectrix gate at Nantucket Memorial Airport. From Nantucket, connecting flights travel to Barnstable Municipal Airport in Hyannis on Cape Cod. Flight time from La Guardia to Nantucket is about one hour. Passengers can also purchase connecting flights to and from Worcester.
“The Rectrix shuttle service will be the most convenient way to travel between New York City and Nantucket this summer,” said Rectrix CEO Richard Cawley. “People in the Northeast cherish their summer weather and weekend getaways. Our shuttle service provides an easy way to make the most of the season.”
Rectrix Aviation is a division of Rectrix Commercial Aviation Services. In addition to the summer shuttle, the company offers private jet charter on its own fleet of Learjet 45s, and Challenger 300s and 604s. The company also has FBOs in Bedford, Hyannis, Westfield, and Worcester, Massachusetts, as well as Sarasota, Florida.
