Ameco, the joint venture between Air China and Lufthansa German Airlines, signed a five-year agreement with Boeing to become an official BBJ warranty service center. Currently, the Beijing-based company is the only authorized BBJ warranty service center in Asia. Before this agreement, Boeing made sure that Ameco’s quality standards met its requirement on suppliers and also approved Ameco’s maintenance capabilities.
Since the 1990s, Ameco has provided maintenance and modifications for business jets. Today, the company is a Chinese CAAC-designated modification design organization representative and holds parts manufacturer approval (PMA). Ameco, which has a SAI Global AS/EN9100 certificate of registration, continues to provide completions for large VIP business jets such as the Airbus A330 and Boeing 737/747.
