Champaign, Illinois-based Flightstar has announced new incentives for operators to purchase its ADS-B OUT STCs for the Bombardier Learjet 40 and 45. Purchasing either STC entitles operators to three years of Honeywell Avionics Protection Program (HAPP) discounts, and reduces the purchase price for new or current plans by 30 percent in the first year and 20 percent in following years, said Flightstar.
The company is also including in the incentive program a merchandise credit voucher toward an engine upgrade from the Honeywell TFE731-20AR powerplants to the -20BR standard. Once the Flightstar STC for ADS-B has been carried out, the $49,000 credit is available for a period of nine months, the company said.
“With the current programs in place, now is the time to equip your Learjet 40/45,” said Greg Vail, Flightstar avionics manager.
Flightstar has an FBO at Willard Airport in Illinois, as well as hangar facilities with MRO capabilities, including being a Bombardier-authorized service center for the Learjet 40, 45, 70 and 75. It is also approved by Honeywell for TFE731 and HFT7000 engines.
