Hong Kong-based Metrojet Limited announced that its maintenance facility in the Philippines—Metrojet Engineering Clark—received an FAA air agency certificate to perform line/base maintenance on Gulfstream G550, G450, GIV and GV; Bombardier Global 5000, Global Express XRS, Challenger 604/605 and Learjet 45; Hawker 800/800XP; and Beechcraft King Air 200. The FAA certification also includes the servicing and overhaul of aircraft batteries and wheels.

Located at Diosdado Macapagal International Airport in the Clark Freeport Zone near Pampanga, 40 miles north of Manila, Metrojet Engineering Clark has more than 13,000 sq ft of hangar space and a 20,000-sq-ft ramp area. The maintenance, repair and overhaul facility is designed to augment both heavy and line maintenance capabilities from Metrojet Limited’s Hong Kong base and support the local aviation market. The facility allows Metrojet to take advantage of the anticipated business aviation growth forecast for Asia.

“Following the FAA certification, Metrojet Engineering Clark will continue to develop and expand its maintenance capability and pursue additional certifications from other national authorities,” said Henry Schofield, general manager of Metrojet Engineering Clark. The company already holds approval from the Philippines authority.

Established in 1995, Metrojet provides comprehensive aircraft management, consultancy, maintenance and charter services.
