Lufthansa Technik is prepared to provide technical services for the Airbus A350XWB for both commercial and VIP customers. The MRO already holds EASA Part 145 maintenance organization approval for the new aircraft type. Lufthansa Technik engineers participated in Airbus A350 customer focus groups and supported the manufacturer with respect to maintainability and maturation.
Lufthansa Technik's portfolio for this aircraft type already comprises an extensive package of maintenance and repair services such as fleet management, line maintenance, engineering services including troubleshooting and software management, component MRO and pool services, on wing support on composite structure and engines, and overhaul and maintenance on the auxiliary power units.
A dedicated "Entry-into-Service" Team is preparing the phase-in of the company's own Lufthansa A350XWB, planned to arrive in November 2016, the first out of 25 orders joining Lufthansa's fleet.
