Switzerland-based Ruag Aviation is offering an extensive cockpit upgrade on the Airbus Helicopters AS350B3e Ecureuil/AStar light single. It centers on Garmin G500H avionics and features a touchscreen for one navigation/communications display. A Ruag engineer told AIN the company holds an STC for the touchscreen interface, after EASA pilots successfully tested it in heavy vibration and wearing gloves.
