StandardAero has partnered with California-based ACI Jet on an STC for the installation of Honeywell’s JetWave satellite communication system on the Bombardier Global series. The Ka-band system provides passengers the same speed and performance they are accustomed to in their homes and offices, and the new installation uses JetWave hardware, with a Honeywell Ka radome and its CNX-900 router. Through its in-house FAA organizational designation authorization, Arizona-based StandardAero provides STC approvals for avionics and cabin management systems.
“As with our recently announced STC on Gulfstream aircraft, this new STC provides best-in-class technology and allows us to increase capacity to the market for these critical installations, at a time when installation demand is soaring, especially now that the ADS-B mandate is only 18 months away,” saidMarc Drobny, president of the company’s business aviation division. “This means Global operators can upgrade to the highest-bandwidth technology sooner and simultaneously reduce downtime and cost.”
