Marenco Swisshelicopter’s All-Carbon-Fiber SKYe-SH09 is a 21st Century Helicopter

Marenco Swisshelicopter unveiled its all-new multi-role carbon fiber SKYe SH09 single-turbine helicopter back in 2009. The Swiss company believes that the $3.5 million dollar aircraft will fill a gap in the market by offering a truly 21st century single-engined rotorcraft equipped for multiple missions. The SKYe SH09 will be equipped with the new Honeywell HTS900-2 turbine with Fadec controls, producing close to 1000 shaft horsepower. The lightweight carbon fiber structure will contribute to an improved performance and fuel economy over traditional alloy-structured aircraft.
