Helicopter Industry’s Morale is Up, Despite Threat of ATC User Fees

As the helicopter industry gathers in Dallas for the annual HeliExpo show, HAI president tells AINtv that its fortunes are being improved by factors such as rising oil prices. But the trade group’s members are very concerned about the new U.S. government’s declared intention to privatize the air traffic control system in a way that would favor airlines at the expense of business aviation. This brings the threat of user fees, which HAI says would be especially unfair for helicopter operators.
