Business aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul specialist West Star Aviation recently completed the refurbishment of a Bombardier Global Express, a project that included installing the Rockwell Collins Venue cabin management system. The Venue system provides cabin connectivity and in-flight entertainment.
“This was the introductory aircraft for West Star installing the Venue system on a Global Express,” said West Star Aviation director of sales Marty Rhine. “We know staying connected in flight is important to our customers and we are proud to offer this system to Global operators and continue to strengthen our support of Global aircraft.”
West Star fitted new touchscreen control display units (CDUs) for the Global Express. The company also upgraded cabin lighting to LED, reconfigured the floor plan, updated wood accents and belted the divan for takeoff and landing.
The independently owned group offers repair and maintenance services for engines, airframes and windows in addition to modifications, accessory services, paint and parts, interior refurbishment and avionics installation and repair.
