Network Global Logistics (NGL), the Broomfield, Colo.-based provider of third-party logistics, has released a mobile application that enables an organization to track shipments from any location.
NGL (Booth 3562) provides mission-critical transportation services and parts logistics for a number of business and commercial aircraft manufacturers, as well as repair stations. The company has a staff of trained specialists and TSA-cleared drivers to handle and transport parts shipped for not only normal maintenance events, but also AOG situations. Paul Gettings, executive v-p, service parts and express operations for NGL, said the company will provide these services at all hours and holidays, when other services might not be available.
The app, which was 10 months in the making, enables the shipper or the recipient to track when a part has been shipped, whether it is being driven or flown, which operator might be flying the part, whether the aircraft has departed or if the truck is in transit, among other information. “This information is critically important to the customer,” Gettings said, noting the company’s aviation clients place an emphasis on speed. “The app empowers the customer.”
Future features will include the ability to place orders and track real-time where a driver is along the route.
