US Navy Test Pilots Fly the F-35 Fighter at Sea on Aircraft Carrier

The two-week deployment of two F-35Cs to the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower aircraft carrier tested the new fighter’s Joint Precision Approach and Landing System. Also under evaluation were night operations with the latest version of its helmet-mounted display. Two of the program’s test pilots shared their thoughts on how the test flying is going.
