Esterline CMC Electronics (CMC) received Canadian TSO design approval for its CMA-6800 display, which was designed to replace the aging Honeywell ED-800 cathode ray tube displays still found on several legacy business jets.
"This new product has many benefits,” said Cisco Hernandez, vice president and general manager of DAC International, a CMC distributor. “Among those are its form-fit-function replacement and its additional I/O and processor growth provisions for future mandates.”
Esterline CMC Electronics expects to receive an FAA Part 25 Approved Model List (AML) STC for the system on the Cessna Citation III/V/VII, Hawker 800, Dassault Falcon 900 and Bombardier Dash 8.
