Jet Aviation Singapore has been selected to perform the first 8C inspection on a Bombardier Global Express in the Asia-Pacific region. As the aircraft’s largest maintenance event, the 10-year 8C inspection requires extensive dismantling of the cabin for a thorough check of the airframe and structures, including a major overhaul of the landing gear, examination of all operating systems and a detailed review of the aircraft’s flight documents.

To minimize downtime, the customer also commissioned the MRO simultaneously to refurbish the aircraft, including restoration of the aircraft’s woodwork, a soft material refurbishment, flooring and re-finishing of the cabin’s sidewalls and headliners.

The 80,700-sq-ft hangar at Jet Aviation Singapore can accommodate up to eight ultra-long-range business jets or three bizliners. Earlier this year, the company received FAA approval for its new interior shop. Jet Aviation Singapore provides scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, aircraft repair, defect troubleshooting and rectifications and aircraft modifications. In addition, the company offers interior refurbishment, avionics modification and exterior painting services.
