Helicopter and parts reseller Avinco completed 25 aircraft transactions worldwide last year. These including the disposal of the last two MBB BO-105s from a fleet of 17 acquired from the German police. Avinco said its ability to reconfigure the helicopters with mission-specific equipment for their new owners was key to their resale as was Avinco's ability to find creative financing solutions.
The company also added several new sales representatives last year, including former Airbus Helicopters executive Mike Richardson in the U.S. and Maria Kolesnikova in Russia and the CIS. In addition, Avinco significantly increased its inventory of Airbus Helicopters spare parts, including main dynamic components, main gearboxes and mission equipment.
