King Air 250 operators who frequently fly in hot and high conditions might want to consider a performance kit being offered by CenTex Aerospace. Working with Beechcraft and BLR Aerospace, CenTex developed the Halo 250 conversion, which allows a King Air 250 to carry more weight under“hot and high conditions and to operate from shorter runways. With the Halo 250 conversion, a King Air 250 can carry an additional 920 pounds of payload and/or fuel.

The company has just completed its first shipment of Halo 250 kits to Beechcraft, which will install the kits as the enhanced payload option on new-production King Air 250s at the company’s manufacturing facility in Wichita.

The enhanced payload option is also available for aircraft already in service and can be purchased and installed at Textron Aviation’s company-owned service centers or any of the other CenTex Aerospace dealers.
