Russian Helicopters Mi-38 Enters New Flight-test Phase

The Mi-38 heavy twin has entered the final stage of certification testing, Russian Helicopters has announced, thus keeping its target of obtaining Russian certification next year. Testing is being carried out on the third and fourth prototypes, both fitted with Klimov TV7-117V turboshafts. After its first hover flight on October 20, the fourth helicopter was transferred overland on November 3 to the Mil Moscow Helicopter Plant.
