Lufthansa Technik and List Components & Furniture have founded a joint-venture company, Inairvation, that combines the experience of Lufthansa Technik with private aircraft cabin conversions and manufacture of in-flight entertainment electronics with the expertise of List as a manufacturer of high-end cabin interiors for private and corporate jets, luxury yachts, cruise liners and private residences. Each of the companies holds a 50-percent stake in the Edlitz-Thomasberg, Austria-based company.
Inairvation will offer solutions for business and private jet cabins. Up to now Lufthansa Technik has supplied the cabin management system (in-flight entertainment electronics) and List cabin components such as galleys, armrests and fold-out tables as independent suppliers to the aircraft manufacturer. In the future, when commissioned by a customer, the two companies will jointly implement innovations that follow the theme of “technology meets cabin.” The goal is to blend entertainment electronics, furniture and lighting in an advanced design. By combining the latest technology with fabricated interior components, Inairvation says it will create cabin interiors for business and private jets that meet both aesthetic requirements and incorporate the latest technological developments.
